Robert Wallace is the August Optimist studentof the month and Brittany Vohland is the September Optimist student of themonth.
Robert Wallacewas nominated by Mr. Mike Garner. Mr. Garner says “Robert is alwayspleasant when he comes to my class. He always asks how my day is goingwhen he comes in and always says have a good day when he leaves. Roberthas a great attitude about school, and we could all follow his example.”
Brittany Vohland was nominated by Maureen Hunsberger. Maureen says “I havebeen very privileged to know Brittany for the last12 years. Brittany works hard at school, volunteers in thecommunity and has a job. Her upbeat attitude and willingness to helpwhenever asked are attributes that make her optimist student of the monthmaterial.”

Student Council Members --- we will once again be painting the windowsdowntown to show school spirit for homecoming. If you would like to helppaint these windows on Sept 17th, please sign up in the high schooloffice. The deadline to sign up will be Wed. September 15th at3:30PM.
Signup to be in Spanish Club in Mrs. Schwisow’s room. You must be currently enrolled in Spanish orhave taken at least 1 year of Spanish to be a member. Your $4 dues must be paid in order to votefor our homecoming candidates next week. Seniors, you must be a paid member to be on the ballot.
Annual staff members are selling homecoming flowers onceagain. See any staff member or Mrs. Phillips to place an order. Wewill deliver to Custer, North Park, the middle school and the high school onSeptember 24th. Please do not cut any of the card sheetsapart!

You may still participate to the drunkdriving simulator or in viewing the drunk driving simulator. If you wantto view the video but discover that it does bother during the viewing, you areallowed to go out to the hallway.

The 7th grade FB game on September 14 atLexington has been moved to October 11th at 4pm at Lexington.
NFL Punt, Pass and Kick Competition sponsored by theBroken Bow Optimists will be held on Monday, September 13th at the MelhamMultipurpose Field. Registration is from6:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. Boys and Girls ages 6-15 as of December 31, 2010 areeligible to compete. Bring a copy of your birth certificate. Football shoes/cleats are not allowed. Rain Date is September 20th. If you havequestions, contact Janeen Kahnk at 870-2334.
Annual staff membersare selling homecoming flowers once again. See any staff member or Mrs.Phillips to place an order. We will deliver to Custer, North Park, themiddle school and the high school on September 24th. Please donot cut any of the card sheets apart! $2.00 per flower.
There will be a MSdance this Friday September 10th from 7pm-9pm in the MS Gym. $3.00/person or $5.00/couple. MS students only.

7th Grade: Morgan Fritsch and JessicaMohnsen I just started sacking andloading the canned food brought in for the football scrimmage last Friday whenMorgan and Jessica were kind enough to come and ask if I wanted help. They helped Mr. Hogue and myself sack and load theremaining items. Their help was really appreciated because there was a lot of donated items. Mrs. Garner
