Middle School quiz bowl ended the year with the 7^th and 8^th grade team winning the Custer County Quiz Bowl on January 24^th.  Also Competing in their first live competition was the 6^th grade team who had a strong showing.  The 7^th and 8^th grade team also competed on March third at the ESU quiz bowl in Kearney.  The team finish in the top ten out of 36 teams entered in the contest.      

Broken Bow Middle School Schedule (March 10, 2010)

*1^st period: 8:20-8:40 a.m.

*2^nd period: 8:45-9:05 a.m.

*3^rd period: 9:10-9:30 a.m.

*4^th period: 9:35-9:55 a.m.

*Dodgeball Tournament in Middle School gym and Activities Building:

10:00 a.m.-11:55 p.m.

*12:00 p.m. - 6^th grade to lunch then recess through 12:45

- 7^th/8^th grade to recess then to lunch at 12:25 p.m. through 12:50

*12:55 p.m. 6, 7 & 8^th grade students to MS auditorium for February monthly assembly

*2:00 p.m. Dismissal for Spring Break

Sing Around Nebraska students: We will be taking our picture for the Custer County Chief on Tuesday, March 9^th at 3:45 p.m.  Please meet after school in the vocal music room.  Remember to wear your Sing Around Nebraska t-shirts.  Thanks.

If you would like to order a yearbook with your name engraved on the cover, you must do so by March 30.  The cost is $42.  A non-engraved yearbook is $40 and must be ordered by the last day of school.  You can pick up an order form in the MS Office.  See Mrs. Phillips before or after school with your money.

8^th graders: HS Cheerleading tryouts March 18^th in the HS Gym. Practice will be March 15^th & 16^th & 17^th in the HS Gym from 6pm-8pm. Sign up in the MS Office or HS Office.

6^th & 7^th Graders: If you are interested in joining the Broken Bow Fit Kids this summer the forms are in the office or Mr. Meyers room.

Lunch Menu for Today: Home-style Quesadilla, BBQ Rib Sandwich, Whole Grain Rice, Rice Krispie Treat.

Student of the Week for March 8^th:

6^th Grade: Nicole Bickford~ Nicole is very organized and gets her assignments finished on time!  She has a great work ethic and a positive attitude that will help her to be a success anywhere. Mrs. Pierce

7^th Grade: Shannon Myers ~ works hard and always has a positive outlook!!!  Mrs. Haines

8^th Grade: Dalton Schnase ~as he has worked hard to show responsibility for his behavior in my class and has improved greatly with this goal.  He has also improved in his respect for the classroom expectations and his willingness to follow directions from me and do exactly what has been asked.
